The Severne Base Extension 40 is an additional piece of carbon mast to add to the bottom of your rig.
It was originally designed specifically for the race team to allow a shorter mast to be used to maintain control in higher winds, the Base Extension 40 can also be used to add onto the bottom of any Severne SDM mast to add additional length.
